Schooling

Correct schooling at home prepares the show horses for the ring. Richard undertakes most of the riding duties nowadays to prepare the horses.

It is a skill to prepare a horse for any judge to ride, one that, over the years, Richard has perfected.

Right Royal was our first ‘mega champion’ but he was not the easiest of horses.  The team worked with him and rode him in a classical way to bring out wonderful results. It was people who saw this transformation that began the showing business as it has become today. Being able to work with difficult horses demonstrates true horsemanship.

Today the same orthodox riding style is still used as it is proven to be successful.
